SUNDAY SERVICE
- September 5 “Celebrating Our UUCC Traditions”
- 10:30am
- Rev. Dana Lightsey
- Last Sunday’s service was about the importance of stories. This Sunday will be your turn to share stories of favorite UU traditions from this church and other UU churches.
URGENT FAMILY PROMISE CHEYENNE (FORMERLY CIHN) REQUEST
- The FPC co-coordinators are asking for your help with our next rotation which starts next Sunday, September 5.
- Presently there is one family in the system consisting of mom and three children. We have just been informed that there will be one more family of mom and four children and highly probable an additional mom, dad, and one child.
- This will result in four adults and eight children in our church from Sunday September 5 through Sunday September 12. This will be one of largest number of guests we have accommodated and your help is urgently needed.
- If any of you are uncomfortable preparing a meal for this many people, maybe you could partner with someone else and jointly prepare a meal or meals. We can provide some financial help with food purchases if needed - just let us know.
- The family presently in the system (mom and 3 children) and the additional family (mom and 4 children) do not have transportation. We would like some help with this in the mornings from UUCC to Grace United and in the afternoons from Grace United to UUCC.
- We also need help with evening hosts, overnight hosts, day hosts for Monday September 6 (Labor Day), and weekend hosts.
- Please contact Terri Johansen at terrijo7@hotmail.com or Jim Gaulke at sanji@bresnan.net. THANK YOU!
FOCUS MAILING PARTY
- Focus Mailing Party to ready the September monthly newsletter for mailing

ETHICAL ISSUES IN CARE AT THE END OF LIFE
- Wednesday, September 1
- 2-3 p.m.
- Auditoriums A & B Cheyenne Regional Medical Center
- Free and open to the public
- When is it time to let the natural dying process occur? Is it morally permissible to give a dying patient a powerful pain medication even if the drug might hasten death? How long should technology be allowed to sustain a life and under what circumstances?
- Please join us as Daniel P. Sulmasy, O.F.M., M.D., Ph.D., an internationally known speaker and author, discusses often difficult end-of-life decisions facing families, clergy and healthcare providers.
- Need more information? Pick up a flyer at Clip Board Corner.
WATER CEREMONY/INGATHERING
