Join us this Sunday morning at 10 am via Zoom for an opportunity to pause, reflect, and center in the midst of a chaotic world. We’ll light our chalice(s), and take time for meditation, spiritual reflection, and singing.

All are welcome!

Wednesday evenings from 8-9 pm, Rev. Hannah will host a Zoom gathering where we can do some deeper sharing around how we’re doing and what is on our heart through all of this. This will start this Wednesday 3/18.
Fridays from 12:00-12:30 pm, Rev. Hannah will facilitate an opportunity for a spiritual practice over Zoom. It might be a guided meditation, a sacred reading practice, or some other way to tend to our spirits. This will start this Friday 3/20.
If you are looking for an additional online worship experience, click here to check out the UU Church of the Larger Fellowship. They have online worship every Sunday evening at 6 pm Mountain Time.

Please enroll your youth in the Faith Development Program if have not already done so. Registration only takes a few minutes:

For families with children and youth, there will be a variety of opportunities for our children and youth to engage with one another and adult volunteers through the UUCC Faith Development Facebook group. Please join the group and, if you’re interested in helping organize or lead some of these events, or have questions about them, email our Director of Faith Development, Mary Scherden, at dfd@uucheyenne.org

You can call in via phone or use your laptops/computer/phones camera to connect to ZOOM.
  1. what one thing can you not do without during this time of social isolation?
  2. How are you handling kids, youth and grownups all working from home? A schedule? play it by ear?
This information is also available on the Faith Development Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UUCCRE/?ref=pages_groups_card&source_id=225110394241405
JOYS and CONCERNS
If you have any Joys, Concerns, Personal Congratulations (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, etc.) that you would like to share with the Congregation, please email the administrator at administrator@uucheyenne.org. The newsletter is published every Wednesday at noon, so submissions must be received by 10am Tuesday morning to be in that week’s newsletter.

Please Note:
  • If you would like your submission to run more than one week, please include that in your email.
  • If you would like your submission included in that Sunday’s Joys and Concerns section of the service, please include this in your email; otherwise it will only be in the newsletter.
Thank you!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Any scheduled event that was to be held at the church has been cancelled at that location.

You should contact the committee chair or contact for the event to get information on alternate locations or methods of meeting.

The Board will reassess the situation in early April to determine whether activities, including in-house worship services, will resume in the building.
Caring for one another is more important than ever right now. In order to ensure that our congregation is well-tended during our physical separation, checking in on one another is critical.

If you would be willing to commit to checking in on a list of 10-12 households each week, please email Rev. Hannah or text/call her at 414-870-1028.

You would be responsible for reaching out via phone call or text to those households once a week to check in and see how they are faring, whether anyone is sick, and what support they might need. You wouldn’t be expected to meet those needs all on your own. It is just helpful to have folks out there making sure that we know how our folks are doing.

COMMITTEES

If you have a committee meeting or other UUCC-related gathering scheduled between now and the end of March, please contact Rev. Hannah at minister@uucheyenne.org to schedule access to the Zoom “room” for most UUCC meetings. Please contact Mary at dfd@uucheyenne.org to schedule things related to Faith Development programming for children and youth.

This is also an anxious time financially, for individuals and organizations alike. If you are able, UUCC values and appreciates your continued support through this time. If you typically put cash or a check in the offering plate on Sunday mornings, please consider mailing that donation to the church, giving via our website, or giving via our mobile giving app.

If your financial situation changes and you need to adjust an automatic deduction, please email bookkeeper@uucheyenne.org for more information.

If you find yourself in need of emergency financial assistance, please email Rev. Hannah at minister@uucheyenne.org or call/text her at 414-870-1028.
Email and text scammers are continuing to target churches through this crisis. A member of our staff or lay leadership will never email or text you and instruct you to purchase gift cards. If you receive a suspicious request, please alert a staff member immediately.
Important! Please Read!

We have been experiencing a growing issue with peanut residue in the building, especially in the library.  Please, do not bring peanut products into the building, and if your little ones enjoy their peanut butter snacks before coming, please be sure their hands are clean before they touch surfaces used by everyone.  We are seeing almost daily allergic reactions, so we ask you to please be diligent. It may be an inconvenience to you, but it can be life-threatening to those who are allergic.

The UUA is committed to the goal of making GA accessible to as many attendees as possible. Go to uua.org/ga to learn about scholarships to support participation – particularly of those from marginalized groups – and volunteer opportunities (work in exchange for registration). The UUA is committed to addressing the inclusion of all people, whatever their abilities might be, in all GA activities. Beyond the physical accessibility of the facilities we use – ramps, captioning, seating cut-outs, etc.- we endeavor to take the next step: to truly welcome people with disabilities into every facet of GA.
