Wednesday, January 20th 12:00 pm at UUCC Library
Join us on the third Wednesday of each month for lunch and mental exercise! TED Talks are short presentations by some of the best thinkers in science, medicine, social issues and global innovation. Bring a lunch and join us in the UUCC library for the short 15 minute viewing and the engaging conversation and reflection that follows.

After the congregation chose this as their preferred class, we scheduled sessions in the fall but did not get the minimum signup, so we’re rescheduling! A number of folks expressed interest and said they forgot to sign up, so here’s our second chance. This class will allow us to explore our relationships (friends, family, lovers) and how deepening our spiritual practices can enhance and transform them. Using principles of Compassionate Communication and including elements of Our Whole Lives adult sexuality education, this class asks that participants create a safe and healthy connection for the work, and thus we need to ask that participants make a serious commitment if they join the class.
This class will be 6 sessions over 3 months, March – May. We need a minimum of EIGHT people to sign up, who can commit to at least 5 of the 6 sessions. The class will be held on Sunday mornings from 9 am – 10:15 am on the following dates:
March 6 & 20
April 10 & 24
May 1 & 29
Mark your calendars now & SIGN UP HERE! We can make sure there is childcare, for a small donation of $10 per child for the series. SIGN UP FOR CHILDCARE NEEDS TO BE 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION (otherwise we won’t have enough time to make arrangements) If this cost represents a hardship to you, please be sure to speak to Rev. Audette.
Because of your generous response, UUCC was able to deliver a wonderful selection of desserts to Allen Chapel for the luncheon that followed the MLK march on Monday. Once again, we appreciate your donations so much!
Joining the choir is easier than ever. We now perform only the second and last Sundays of every month. Less of a commitment but still just as much fun and fulfillment.
Practices: Wednesday’s at 7:00pm
Second and last Sundays at 9:45am
All ages and musical experience welcomed!
Create new and lasting friendships, as we lend our voices to creating an exciting, uplifting and inspiring worship atmosphere here at UUCC.
Currently, we are not accepting any clothing for donation at UUCC except items needed for the Point in Time count of the homeless – warm winter hats, gloves, face masks and socks for men (plus canned soup and men’s reading glasses). These were requested by the folks conducting this event.
If you have clothing to donate, please take it directly to Goodwill, Needs, or Meals on Wheels. Your volunteers thank you!
Dear UUCC family –
Did you know that UUCC spent $1200 last year on disposable paper goods? When the Board realized this, they knew they needed to take action! Although disposable paper goods are quite a convenience, they are not the most environmentally friendly option and not the best way for us to spend out limited funds!
As good stewards, we’d like to ask two things of you.
One: if you’re hosting a church-related event at UUCC, will you please consider using our plentiful supplies of dishes and silver? You’ll have to follow proper washing techniques, but it’s an Earth-friendly option!
Two: PLEASE DONATE A PACKAGE OF PAPER PLATES, CUPS, OR NAPKINS! If everyone chips in a package of paper plates, plastic cups, or napkins, we could spend $0 of our church budget and still be able to cover our need for disposables.
You can drop off paper products in the library, and we’ll stock our closet. If we get a good response, hopefully we can do this every January and save lots of money that should be spent on other things!
We can no longer take glass for recycling. Please stop bringing it to church immediately. If you want to continue to recycle your glass, you can take it to the Fort Collins Rivendell recycling center on the corner of Prospect and Riverside behind the school (access it from Riverside).

Hosted by Family Promise
Wednesday, January 27 at 8:00am – 6:00 pm at Cheyenne Depot Plaza 109 W. 15th St. Cheyenne, WY 82001
Join us January 27th at the Depot Plaza for the annual Point in Time Count. This is the one day a year we try and account for all of those in our community experiencing homelessness. This count is crucial for our state as it helps determine the amount of funding our state will receive.
Laramie UU and other groups are sponsoring demonstrations at upcoming BLM oil-and-gas leases under the movement & banner, “Keep it in the Ground.” The first such dal is slated for February 2 in Cheyenne.
BLM sells these leases way too cheap. The leases fly into the face of the fed. government’s obligation to manage the land with appropriate stewardship.
