  • IMPORTANT – Please plan to attend the mandatory PARENT/GUARDIAN ORIENTATION on Jan 27 12 – 4 pm.  Deli meats and cheeses will be served for lunch. Please bring a side dish to share. (Paper products, chips and drinks will be provided). Parents and guardians will be given a very thorough view of what will be covered in the OWL program and questions will be answered at this time. Youth are not permitted to participate in any OWL sessions without a parent or guardian attending an orientation meeting first. • Parent’s and Guardians of Our Whole Lives Spring 2019 – Get your OWL news and class schedule here!!!! Check this link ASAP!

What is OWL? Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula for use in both secular settings and faith communities.

Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.

UUCC plans to offer 3 levels of OWL in the SPRING 2019. The levels include grades 4-6, grades 7-9 and grades 10-12. We need to know who’s interested and get an accurate headcount to continue our planning efforts. Register here!!!

“As our family did five years earlier, our aunt had fled Communist East Germany under cover of night. The difference was, Lilo had done so on promises of a man who had no intention of leaving his wife.

“I hope they let her stay,” I whispered to Karl, “so I can keep going to school.””
