I am writing this before the actual event, but I am confident that the
Halloween Carnival was well attended, full of fun costumes, great games and we all had a good time – if this is true you can call me Nostradamus from now on!

I am so excited to have a Music Director again and consider it a great bonus that Mary Rogers has such rich experience in children’s theater – we are already working together on the Holiday Pageant and I think it’s going to be really fun. We’ll rehearse the last half of November in RE and have a few evening rehearsals in December before the performance on the 15th.

If you have some time and would like to volunteer in RE or join the RE Committee, please come and see me or call me at church or on my cell (214 2556).

As we step into a busy holiday season, this is a great time to connect with
our children about our beliefs as Unitarian Universalists. I know that growing up as a Bahia I sometimes dreaded pointed questions about my family’s beliefs around holidays, and I felt comforted when I had ready answers for why we celebrated the way we did. If you would like any resources to help you in these conversations please come and see me, we have some good stuff.

It is exciting to have new families joining us and bringing their unique
perspectives to our church family- it’s already an exciting year, and I’m
looking forward to a great winter together, learning new stories, making food together and growing.
