I don’t know about you but I am going to have a relaxing, spiritually uplifting, joyful and rejuvenating summer vacation with my children if it kills me.

Luckily, we have many activities slated at the church this summer that will help me do just that.

Birgitt Paul and I will be leading the UU Summer Camp, the theme will be A Summer of Service: Using the 7 Principles to Help Our Community. Camp will be August 11th-15th from 9am-noon. Cost for non-members is $45 for the week and $25 for members.
For those new to UUCC this is a reminder that the nursery program will continue as normal over the summer with two nursery care workers every Sunday from 10:15-11:45. The Jr High will continue to meet as well but the primary and elementary (kindergarten -5th grades) will be condensed into one class that will be taught by a volunteer from the congregation. This is a great time for adults who have a talent or interest that they can share with our children to do it in a low-key way, supported by one of our trained RE volunteers. Our 3rd Principle encourages us to search for truth and working with the children, sharing your talents is a fantastic way to do that.

I will not have office hours for the month of June and July but will resume in August. I will be on-call in June and on vacation in July. The RE Committee co-chairs, Marci Linde and Ellen Page will be on call for the month of July.

If you have any questions or just want to chat, please drop me a line cheyenne.dre@gmail.com or 214-2556.

It is an honor to work with your kids and I am grateful for all of the support this community gives me and the program.
